Managing Threat
THreats
Each season, a community accumulates a certain amount of Threat, based on the size of the community and its condition. Threat is the amount of danger that a community is in, with regard to each of its attributes. The Players can learn of the amount of threat a community is currently under by various means: learning the local gossip, listening to the hunches of older, wiser NPCs, through communion with the kami, or visions of the future, or spending opportunities, though may not reveal every growing obscured peril.
Each month, players will have the opportunity to prevent threat to a specific attribute by Taking Responsibility.

The amount of Threat a community receives is also modified by that community's Hazards.

- Use threat to purchase a Peril.
- Use threat to obscure a Peril or Benefit forcing the players to use observations to discover it.
