Favors
Favors are goods, services, and other kinds of assistance that a PC can request during the course of a Court.
During Court Planning, the GM should develop a list of possible Favors that the PCs can potentially purchase with their influence during the course of the court. There should be Favors that are important to achieving the group goals, but there should also be favors that appeal to the PCs Giri and Ninjo, and favors that tempt the players with improved equipment or special training.
In terms of determining the costs for favors, the GM needs to take into account the number of sequences the Court is going to last for, how easy or difficult they wish it to be for the PCs to accomplish their objectives, and how well the PCs are able and willing to pool their Influence to achieve what they want.
In general:
- Small Favors cost 3 to 7 influence. Small favors cause little disruption and fit into the normal flow of activities.
- Medium Favors cost 7 to 12 influence. Medium favors represent a a deviation from normal operations.
- Large Favors cost 13 to 18 influence. Large favors will disrupt the court in a significant way or are for something very valuable indeed.

Note: A Lord does not directly grant favors in a fully-developed court. He acts as the primary decision maker for complex issues, and achieving a Rendezvous with him will generally be the primary goal of the Court for a PC.
