Unicorn Clan Drinks

Unleash the Djinn

2 1/4 ounces gin
1/4 ounce and a dash of creme de violette
1/4 ounce of triple sec
Splash of cranberry juice
Splash of lemon juice
Dash of lavender bitters
Lychee nut in syrup

Much like the Unicorn, this concoction marries new world and traditional flavors. Chill a coupe glass. While the glass is chilling, mix the gin, creme de violette, triple sec, juices, and bitters in a cocktail shaker, add ice, and stir. Strain into the chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lychee.

Author's note: of all the cocktails we tried for this project, this one is probably my favorite. I know that it calls for some less common ingredients, but they're worth picking up, not just for the novelty of the drink but because this is a damn good cocktail. Don't skimp on the garnish either; the lychee adds a nice complexity to the flavor.

3 oz Red Grapefruit Juice
3 oz Grape Juice
Sugar

Pour over ice into a collins glass, add sugar to taste, stir.
